Anchored in the rich loam of Folk/Americana music, The Lone Canary embodies the harmonious talents of Heather Camacho and Jesse Fox. Camacho graces the stage with her rich vocals, dynamic fiddle, and rhythmic percussion, complemented by Fox's gruff voice and acoustic guitar resonances.

Lauded by A&R Factory for their "hypnotically suspenseful Americana folk." The Lone Canary's vocals are compared to the evocative tones of Stevie Nicks, culminating in an ethereal soundscape teeming with suspense and emotion.

Based in Rockford, IL, The Lone Canary is a long-standing musical alliance between Fox and Camacho, dating back to their high school years. Their collective journey resonates musically, delivering an authentic sound that is equal parts haunting and captivating.

Welcome to our Wednesday night Open Stage for musicians & poets.  Open Stage is free and open to anyone to attend and/or perform.  We will place a sign up sheet on our piano at 5:30 pm.  If you'd like to perform, you will enter your name in a 10 minute time slot between 6 and 8 pm.  Available to use is our house PA system, microphones, guitar, and house piano; a sound person will be on-site. Open Stage runs until 8 pm, followed by a featured performer from 8 to 8:45. Selling drinks at the bar, bar snacks provided free of charge.

Karen was born on Chicago's south side, the second of eleven kids. Her roots are planted in blues and soul. She was set afire by Sarah Vaughan, The Indigo Girls, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Brandi Carlile, and Cyndi Lauper.

She spent time working as a kids music teacher at the famed Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, collaborated on various recording projects, and variety shows, commercial spots for radio and has fond memories of starting it all on a kids music variety television show on what was WCFC Chicago.
